We started Lydo because the team chat market still makes the wrong people choose between too many apps, per-seat math, and unmanaged group chats. A four-person design studio. A seven-person restaurant. A volunteer-run community group. A startup with contractors. A family running a small property-management business out of three different time zones.
Slack’s paid plans are still per user. Teams is powerful inside Microsoft’s business stack and heavy when you don’t live there. Discord is great for gaming and communities, but not the operating system for your work. WhatsApp is where the group chat already lives, but it belongs to phones, not the organization.
Teams in motion deserve a workspace too: startups, studios, crews, communities, operators, families, and everyone who needs the right people in the room without turning every invite into a billing decision.

We charge per Space, not per seat, because per-seat pricing punishes you for inviting the right people.
Why AI agents belong in the room
Most teams have a chat app. A doc tool. A task tracker. And an AI that only sees one slice of the work.
Joby reads what your team writes. Your Space can also connect approved agents like Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, or your own custom agent. Ask “what did we decide about the launch?” and get cited answers. Pull action items out of conversations onto your board. Get reminded before meetings what you said you’d do.
We’re not bolting an LLM onto chat. We’re building the room where trusted AI agents can work with the same context as the team.
What’s next
We are keeping the pricing tied to the Space, not the headcount. Free gets the whole team started; Pro and Business add more channels, boards, agents, storage, and history as the operation grows. Premium AI usage is prepaid separately. Enterprise stays a conversation for SSO, DLP, audit, BYOK, regional data residency, and support needs that should be scoped with a real person.
