There is no documented way to bring your own provider key or route a specific frontier model to a specific job. Lydo is multi-model by design: bring your own keys for Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or xAI (or point at a custom endpoint), pick the model you trust for each task, and switch labs anytime. No single-provider lock-in.

Where the AI lives. Notion AI works inside Notion. Lydo is MCP-native: point Claude Desktop, Cursor, or your own agents at your Space and they read your team’s shared context directly, with a human approving any write. Your AI is not trapped in one app.

Agents that act. In Lydo you can tag an agent inline in a doc and it writes into the document with you, right next to your teammates’ edits, and every action waits for a human to approve it. It is an agent editing the doc, not a chatbot in a sidebar.

An honest note on what is still rolling out

Confidential Mode (end-to-end encryption) is rolling out and not yet generally available. Managed, keyless premium models and self-serve paid checkout are rolling out in stages, so availability may still be limited. Native iOS and Android apps are available in their public app stores, and the web app works without an install.

The verdict

Choose Notion if your team is already all-in on Notion and you want a capable AI assistant inside your existing docs and databases.

Choose Lydo if you want your whole team’s AIs to share one brain, the freedom to use and switch any model, agents that reach your knowledge over MCP, and pricing that does not tax you per head.
