AI group chat · multi-agent work

Put the missing teammate in the thread.

AI group chat makes the conversation itself the place where people and agents work. Ask one agent for research, another for a second opinion, and keep the sources, notes, and decision in the same Space.

The useful distinction

Not another tab for the same work.

The useful difference is context. An AI group chat should know which team, project, files, decisions, and permissions it is working inside, not just the last prompt you typed.

01
Add, do not switch

Bring an agent into the conversation.

The team can mention or assign a teammate from the active work instead of copying the question into a separate assistant. The answer returns to the same thread where the decision will happen.

  • One composer for people and AI
  • Roles stay visible in the roster
  • Answers return to the shared workstream
02
Roundtable

Use multiple perspectives when the work is hard.

Ask a research agent to gather evidence, a planning agent to structure the options, and a writing agent to turn the decision into a brief. Different models can contribute without splitting the team brain.

  • Multi-agent collaboration
  • Multi-provider model choice
  • Compare evidence and tradeoffs in one place
03
Agent-native notes

Turn the conversation into durable work.

Save the useful answer as a note, capture the decision, attach a source, or move an action onto a board. AI should help the team leave the chat with something that compounds.

  • Write notes from the thread
  • Keep sources beside the answer
  • Human review before consequential writes
Questions buyers ask

Clear enough to choose.

What is AI group chat?

AI group chat is a shared conversation where people and AI teammates work together in the same thread. Instead of opening a separate chatbot tab, the team can ask an agent to research, draft, summarize, challenge, or organize the work in place.

Can more than one AI agent join a group chat?

Yes. Arc 30 is designed for a roster of durable teammates. A research agent, writing agent, finance agent, or custom agent can contribute to the same workstream, using the context and permissions the Space grants.

Do AI agents see the whole group chat?

No. Access is governed by the Space, account permissions, connected tools, and admin policy. Agents work from the context they are allowed to use, and important writes can wait for human approval.

Can AI group chat use different models?

Yes. Lydo separates the teammate role from the model. Different roles can use different providers, and a team can change the engine without moving the shared work somewhere else.
